My married name is Cherry, hence Cherry Paintings.
I love to keep the paint flying! My subjects often try to fly or even leap off the easel, as I love painting birds and animals.
Dogs are my most popular commissions, but for my own work I love capturing wild animals on canvas and paper.
My home village of Tysoe is also a source of inspiration. Tysoe'a Windmill, St Mary's Church and the myth of the Red Horse all feature in my work.
Drawing and observation is the focus of my work. It's exciting when an image takes on a life of its own.
I used a variety of media: acrylics, pastels, watercolour or pen and ink.
Recently I've also been experimenting in charcoal, Gel-print, lino print and designing online. I hope you like the results!
